You seem to be giving the impression that if a link to another section of your block is a nofollow then that means Google won't pay attention to that section. If this is what you are saying then you are not giving correct information.

If that section is already indexed then how could Google not acknowledge it? Your putting a nofollow attribute in a link is only going to keep Google from seeing that it is connected to your site. It will remain indexed however, unless you noindex it. It is just simply a matter of controlling link juice (for the most part).

In other words, only the link itself is ignored when it is nofollow. Not the actual page or post. Unless the page or post is noindexed it will be acknowledged by Google, as well as other search engines.

The no-follow debate, clearly explained. It works for me. Google definitely still counts a no-follow link as a vote to whichever page it is pointing to.

My mindset about nofollow link has changed after read your post. I think we must make all of external link nofollow. Thanks so much

Do not use nofollow on all the links on a page if content is genuine

that point is the best, I have found some bloggers who no follow my links even if we share the same niche. For e.g. DBT links every bloggers as NOFOLLOW in the Q and A section. I wish I had some great back links for him.
