To be frank the links pointing to the site must be equally relevant to ur site for example : If i have an Auto site then i should get some Pr 2 or Pr 3 links which should be related to Auto industry itself. Now to gain deep Page rank relevancy in Auto itself there are deep categories: Auto parts, Auto clubs etc,,,,  So if u get links from the most relevant categories having PR1-2 it would be added benefit as u get relevant Traffic + PR

		<description>Pr is a hugely controversial and complicated subject, i think people focus on it to much, i have seen sites with PR1 rank very high for competitive keyphrases so i dont tend to put to much importance on it, Google will always keep us guessing.</description>
