I prefer version 2.0 rather than this bloated 3.0 version. It was much easier to upload and update my link directory with the older version. I need a simple process to organize my links as I run an information resource site. I am afraid that link assistant no longer meets my needs.

Thanks for the review, Mani. btw there is a basic SEO metric check in LinkAssistant such as Google PR, Google and Yahoo! popularity, etc.

Kida funny that you like their software so much (which is great imo too) and don’t want to spare a couple of bucks for a subscription. And they state it on their website that you need to pay for search engine updates, you should have read more carefully.

BTW all seo software I know of has some piad subscription to it and I don’t see anything horrible about it when you pay for a good service.

Caution: This company is the king of bait-and-switch. Their actual software is great, but they don’t tell you about the subscription plan that you need or your software is USELESS.

Stay away from this company at all costs. I hate to say it, because they have some of the best software out there. But horrible business practices ruin the software. Truly a shame.

Stay away unless you like your software dying out of the blue and messages of “time to renew” popping up.

I am testing the new version of Link Assistant right now but it is now a part of SEO Power Suite. Maybe they realised that they had to come up with something more powerful as the old Link Assistant felt pretty outdated.
Would be great to see a new review from you!

Personally I feel this software is outdated. The traditional link exchange is sooo yesterday. The way to garner links is to exchange articles and posts with links linking back to your page/s.

I feel link exchange is a thing of the past. Really doesn’t get you very far in my opinion.

You have to come up with more slick link building techniques to get better rankings.

But that’s just my opinion. Care to correct me?
