Stumble Upon brings in more changes, new toolbar is interesting

Looks like lot of new updates are happening around.

Stumble Upon has released it’s new toolbar 3.27 beta, with quite a lot of new features that can be called as a “jump” above the existing features.

Prominent changes in this release include:

  • A thumbdown menu featuring the following options:
    1. Not-for-me ~ This doesn’t suit me.
    2. Stumbled this before ~ This content was in a previous stumble.
    3. Too much like this lately ~ Baby animals are nice, but that’s enough for now.
  • A website blocking feature via the thumbdown menu for FF 3.x users.
  • Fixes a bug in FF 3.x bookmark integration that could cause a tag to be applied upon rating thumbdown.
  • Adds options to report a stumble as ‘Factually incorrect’ or ‘Unsafe’.
  • Adds more convenient reporting of incorrect topic via an optional reporting menu. See the ‘Show topic as’ item on the Configuration tab of Toolbar Options.
  • When topic is displayed as a menu (for reporting incorrect topic), other reporting items are located on this menu rather than on the Tools menu.

I’ve tested the new beta toolbar and so far it’s working great. However, there might be bugs, which you can report here.

  1. Seems really good. Have to try.

  2. Didn’t I hear they were doing away with the TB for some reason?

Good suggestions. I say there needs to be a “no cats” option too.
