I wrote a GreaseMonkey script (a FireFox extension) to help me understand the people I'm following or not (and if I should)

the "Follow Rank and Follows in Common for Twitter User Profiles" script http://userscripts.org/scripts/show/64286 working on a users profile page (like http://twitter.com/manikarthik) and calculates

a) "Follows in Common" or how many of the people I'm following are also being followed by this person. kind of like "Friends in Common" on Facebook

b) "Follow Rank" or how many of the people I'm following are also following this person.

You can also find out who the people responsible for those scores are.

This gives you some information about how important they are in your Twitter Social Network.

enjoy

I don't agree with the idea of following those who follow you. When it comes to reciprocation, it does not work. How could I read all the tweets of 3540 people that follow me when I check my homepage ?

This idea is a cheap one. I have my own 8 people that I follow, just that. Twitter is all about influence and power. I can't imagine Ashton Kutcher with his 1+ million followers making reciprocation to them, that would be just useless. What makes him so powerful is that people are interested in his life simple facts and add him as a bookmark in their twitters :)
