Automatic language translation now available in GMail

If you’re the kind who gets other language emails frequently, this is good news. Gmail now allows automatic email translation from any language to your preferred language.

Simply enable “Message Translation” from the Labs tab under Settings, and when you receive an email in a language other than your own, Gmail will help you translate it into a language you can understand. In one click.

This comic strip should explain things better :)

  1. Hi!
    Is this picture from Google?

By the way, what do you think is better for a better ranking with a translation?

    something like http://www.mybesite/en/mypage

or a auto detection of the language?

Nice comic :) but seriously the results of this “automatic” translation are not that well. You can get a bad understanding of what your customer wants… I believe that there’s no alternative to regular, “human” translator. I recommend OneHourTranslation.com for fast translations of emails (and documents)
