Google Webmaster Tool have undergone a major face-lift today and its all looking fine.
Cleaner interface, easy to access buttons, better grouping and better functions too.
According to the official PR, the highlights are –
- One-stop Dashboard
- More top search queries
- Sitemap tracking for multiple users
- Message subscription
- Improved menu and navigation
- Smarter help
- Removal of the enhanced Image Search option
The top search queries function looks really interesting and there’s more information there than before. Here’s a video that’ll explain the new changes.

Oh yea, finally Google is doing something to their products.
Off topic: The two ads at the top looks annoying, I mean it fills the whole of the page and makes it look cheap.
Hey, try swapping the ads at the bottom with the on on top. I mean the Banner ad 468 x 60 goes to the top (below title) and the two rectangles comes to the place where the banner is now. MHO
I really like the way Labnol uses ads, he has ads on all the right locations, on the F path, but still no one would complain, and the site doenst look a bit cheap. Amazing integration..
Hmm, I see his point is already taken
Thats awesome
Arun, I’m still testing on the best performing ads. Your suggestion was good.It all depends on the numbers not my gut feeling.
Cheers !
Aha.. So it worked! oye oye..
Just kidding man, Good luck with your experiments…
The article is nice as it prompted me to change the look of my webmastertools skin. But the sudden change to a new look …feels bas as the old one was so stuck in my mind
