With Twitter, there is always an over load of information that its quite hard to keep up with the trend, if you’re not moving along with it. Take a break out of Twitter for one or two weeks and see what happens when you get back. There would be lot of information ahead of you and catching up with them is a big task.
But with Twitter search, things get fairly easy. Twitter search recently acquired “Summize” just for enhancing its search tool and the changes are already showing up.
Here are 10 such tips that will help you search the right information on Twitter beyond your timeline and around the world ! (Be sure to check the example links besides each to see how they work)
1. Search for Tweets from a particular Twitter user

8. Search for other Twitter users within your local area or specified physical distance of any place
near:place within:20km
This is an awesome search, that lets you search for twitter users from physical distance around a place. Twitter knows where you are located with your geo codes so things are easy this way. you can select any physical distance from the place according toy our needs (mi=miles, km=kilometres). Example
9. Search for tweets relating to any term from a specific time period
searchterm since:2009-08-01
This is useful if you are searching for things that are recent or within a timeline. Example, a movie review from the date of its release ? Example
10. Search for tweets relating to any term up to a time period
searchterm until:2009-08-04
The reverse of the No.9, where you can search tweets upto a certain period of time. Example
Now, what’s interesting about these search terms are that they are inter-operable (most of them) which means that they can be mixed to get your desired results.
Example – The following search shows how many tweeps from within 15 miles of NYC expressed their love to Miley Cyrus.
love you to:mileycyrus near:NYC within:15mi
Cool, is it not ?

This is just what I was looking for. However, it doesn’t solve my problem: Twitter does not keep data older than x amount of days.

Today, many traditional SEO methods are much less important then they where a couple of years ago. I can say for sure that today, the most important factor is to create and develop a quality article – there is no better way to get better rankings on search engines other this way.
