Su.pr is no doubt the best URL sharing service out there. It convinced me easily because the features are really good, some of them not even available on other similar tools. But the tool is not perfect yet, I’d love to see the team give more options to control how links appear to visitors. Let me list them out.

1.  A faster loading SU toolbar.

Not all the time does the SU toolbar loads quickly. It takes time to load first, and only after fully loading does the shared page comes up.

2. Ability to control what appears from the promoted site.

The SU “algorithm” makes its own calculation and selects the pages to show up from your promoted site automatically. I wish if there was an option to suggest what pages show up. As a matter of fact, SU doesn’t pick all the stories from your site popular on SU. It ignores certain pages/ adds certain pages on its own.

3. Ability to automatically thumbs up the stories shared on Su.pr.

Every time you share a story on SU.pr, I assume you already like the page, so it makes sense to thumb it up as you share it. As of now, you got to thumb it up separately.

4. Ability to show the recent shortened URLs/ Shared stories.

It would also be nice if I could show the stories I recently stumbled/shared on SU.pr, just like the promoted site.

5. Ability to avoid the SU toolbar appearing with the shared website/page.

Honestly, i don’t want to show the SU toolbar all the time I share stories. The shortened URLs could go directly to the websites. At least, this could be optional. (Or work at making the toolbar appear faster and non-obtrusively)
