Just finished “brainstorming” with a potential client who actually got me convinced that I’ll run out of business, because my rates are way too high to afford. Of course I do understand his feelings and quite a bit agree with him, not completely though.
If you’re looking to hire an SEO for “upgrading” your website, there are hundreds of thousands of offers waiting for you. And with those many options, its not easy to make a decision. In fact, its easy to get confused. But what we often miss to understand is that , if you’re really serious about your website, you got to decide whether you want to add value to it or not – with SEO consultation.
There are too good to be true offers on the internet that’ll help you make a decision in a snap ! But it won’t be soon when you realize that it was a haste decision. I mean, there are offers that promise you number one ranks in seven days on Google! If you ask me, that’s completely ridiculous ! I mean, even if I were Matt Cutts, I couldn’t promise that.
SEO is a like a bypass heart surgery to your website. You find out what’s wrong, map out the blockages, and ultimately clear them up with a surgery. It’ll take some time to recover at least. Once you’re back to normal, you’ll be a better person.
So I just don’t understand how these too good to be true offers work ? PageRank 6 in 2 weeks ? What PageRank are you talking about – the one I know updates just about randomly in 3-4 months. SO, what’s the deal ?
Clearly, there are people who try to “use” other people’s ignorance to their benefit, try and convince them about something that can’t be achieved, and run away with the quick money. But I guess it happens just about everywhere.
But when you’re on the internet, ask others and do your homework please. Your pals, your friends online, and do your own checks to see if the guy whom you’re hiring is worth the money or not. Don’t go for the claims, as they are always meant to deceive you. Not that all claims are false, there are lot of genuine people out there, but they don’t shout too loud like the one’s you hear often. You got to find them, but when you do, you’ll probably stick around.
Thanks to the “lost client” who made me write this post. He asked me if I could match a competitors claim of guaranteed Page Rank 6 in 3 weeks with “blog commenting” methods !!
No, I didn’t fall off the chair, I just took a long breath and said – “I’ve read the bible, and I know miracles happen. But I’d rather not be Jesus !”
