The Google UFO doodles were about H.G.Wells indeed
The guesses were right. Google today announced officially the reason whey they posted those mystery doodles. They were to honour the famous author H.G.Wells.
Here’s what the official blog says –
Now, we’re finally acknowledging the reason for the doodles with an official nod to Herbert George, who would be 143 years old today.

So, this time around, many of us figured out already what the logos were about, although the first logo confused us, and raised a lot of questions.
