How to submit a new website to Google ?

Submitting to search engines, technically means applying for an inclusion to the search index of a search engine. Some SEOs treat this as a service, offering different methods for new websites to get listed on the search engines, but in my opinion this is a very basic necessity every webmaster must go through.

Submitting websites to search engines is an obsolete concept in my opinion, rather get them to index the sites, the other way round.

Why its good ?

- Gives you more value, as a website.
- Gives you relevancy and authority.
- Makes it an easier process.

So how to get indexed by search engines the easy way ?

1. Get a good authority website to link to you. (Try Link Building Strategies 1, 2,3)

2. Deploy the RSS feed.

3. Deploy a sitemap file.

And in my opinion, option 1 (in links) is the best way to get indexed, the right way. I’ve explained here why.

    Dude…fix the OPTION 1 urls..they appear to be a 403 Forbidden ERROR..!!

    I must say that I agree with you. You don’t want to submit to the search engines, rather have them find you. The easiest way to do that is to get other sites to link to yours or post on a discussion board or blog that does not use “no follow” tags. I’ve heard Google will not even list a site until it has other sites linking to it, even if you go to their site and submit it yourself without incoming links you’re dead in the water.

    Thanks for the good info. I might have to read up a bit on the RSS feed and how to set that up. I’ve already submitted my site to search engines, did I just waste my time?

    ok a have different experience with differebt web site and i can confime that the necessary is to make a first one link from an exesting web site . so if some body need a professionnal seo there is lot and very hard work to do with a full list software and a large comllection of social network website, forums, blog…

    Authorative websites are very finiky. Some senior webmasters might know you personally so might allow some new sites to link from them. But for a regular person its almost impossible to get a link especially from a PR n/a sites.

    Taking a avid blogger’s interview… well those fellow know why one would take their interview. Frankly without references that guy will not entertain anyone.

    Please rewrite your article so a common person without influencial contacts can promote their site that the 98% of bloggers and site owners
