What can you think of as a product about “Google Guru ?” Some coding competition ?

Apparently, it looks like Google is trying out (in its own privacy) a new product which will be pretty much like Yahoo Answers ! Basically a thread based forum like discussion board, where you can get answers to your questions the crowd sourcing way.

Google had shut down its Google Answers service earlier and a similar one Google Moderator, which I believe is not used by many. Some sites have already reported about it here and here.

From the Thailand Google product page, it looks like there are lot of options including –

- Scores and ranking systems

- Negative and Positive “Behaviours”

- Categories called “Labels”

So what is Google guru ? As speculated, could it be Google’s answer to Yahoo Answers ? Is it yet another failed attempt or is it a brand new product ?
