What’s a better Skype alternative? Google Talk may be..

Skype was and always is the leader when it comes to free video and voice chat on the internet. There are many alternatives out there but clearly Skype got its big pluses to make us all stick to it. I’ve been using Skype for so long that I haven’t really tried any alternatives, although I know that there are. Skype has been good with voice chat, video chat and even PayPal transfers. Very handy if you deal with freelancers more often.
But Skype had problems too. The calls sometimes would get dropped in between conversations, and the voice clarity can be poor sometimes, especially on low-bandwidth connections. And now, looks like with the recent additions, Google Talk could be a good competition for Skype. Google Talk have recently updated some features like Video chat and Group chat to be easily useable for GTalk users. Like adding the buttons at an easily accessible location. Also, the video and audio quality is exceptionally good when compared to Skype. Now that’s some tough competition.

This functions that you are talking about are noy available on the google talk applicantion.
They are only available inside Gmail and you have to install a plugin on your browser for it to work.
You’re right Victor. I should’ve clarified. Thanks
so, i just can talk with my friends if they have Gmail.
Google seems to be dominating the internet world. Its the top-of-mind search engine for internet users. Now, its even getting into video chat. Skype has also been the go to service for video chat, but with the power of Google it can easily be over riden. Google not only offers its users search results, but a reliable source for information and even a powerful place to advertise. With this new video chat it just adds one more effective way for marketers to advertise their products with a top-of-mind service.
