Awesome! Really a interesting structure of how google works
Awesome would be an understatement. Though I still believe that the big G is a little more organic than the chart describes… but really… how organic can an algorithm be?
This is an excellent infographic that really illustrates the complex and clever nature of Google, and it’s interesting to note the massive physical facilities that they own as part of the operation. Considering how huge a corporation they are it is surprising to note how secretively they have operated and how much information they’ve managed to keep under wraps.
It’s quite obvious that there are many factors in determining search results, and looking at these you can see just a few of them, as i’m sure there are many more that Google doesn’t make public. As we are all aware Googles algorithm is constantly changing, so this is just a hint at its complexity.
I’ll be interested to read the comments regarding this and what others take from the outlined ranking methods. It is amazing to see just how Google operates and the vast scale of the company, which really is obvious in an infographic like this.
