How to report a spam website to Google
In our daily quest for information on the internet, you use Google so much and come across so much of junk, that you wish if you could clear them off the index. There are always those one or two websites that are irrelevant and shouldn’t be on the first page results.
But would Google listen to you ? Definitely yes.
Google, tries to give the most relevant information on its search engine results page, but admits that there might be certain websites that slipped through, for they might be either technically sound or didn’t get scanned in Google’s radar.
We can help here. If you find irrelevant, spam websites in Google search engine results, you can report it to Google via this contact form. If your report is genuine, and more people are submitting it, Google will consider removing it from the results page, after their checks.
Now, you also can use this nice Chrome plugin, that will help you submit spam websites to Google right from the browser, easily.

Wow………very useful article……I am sure other people will find this very valuable…….
thanks
Yes.. Thanks for sharing the useful stuff.
This is really a good thing, now all the website holders should think before adding content on their website, It happens many times that when you search for something and get something else than it is annoying.
how they will know if is genuine request or just getting rid of your opponent?
I don’t think Google will genuinely believe all the spam reports, but check them from their end as well. If an unnaturally large number of people report a website, however, there should be something wrong. Google does its checking before even removing/editing spam content off the index. This is my best guess.
Good stuff you have provided, as it helps in protecting my website.
how they will know if is genuine request or just getting rid of your opponent?
I think Google don’t care of spam report sent by any user, I have sent a same spam report two times but there is no response or action taken by Google…….
First I sent is around one month ago and second one is 3-4 days ago.
What will you say about this
@Rajesh
It won’t work unless if other people also point the same thing. Ask your friends from same industry to report about the website and I believe after that Google will review the request and take action accordingly.
Is it just me or is Examiner the biggest spam site in the world? I think for the past 6 months whenever i searched for news on iPhone 5 – they were always there, and always write dozens iPhone release date articles every week
Classic content farm John. However they have no choice if they want to compete with other content farms.
