Choosing the right career is a very important decision that needs to be taken seriously. Those that choose the right career path will likely achieve personal and professional success and will have higher job satisfaction than someone that does not pick the right career path.
For those that are struggling to choose the right career path, taking a personality test that uses a predictive index could be a great option. Organizations can also use these tests to best assess a potential candidate. There are six different personality tests today that can help anyone to choose the right career or job candidate.
1. The Myers-Briggs Type Indicator

2. The DiSC Behavior Inventory
One of the most original and used tests in the world is The DiSC Behavior Inventory. This test is one of the shortest used today as it has only about 32 different questions. When taking this test, an applicant for a job will be provided four different statements and will be asked to choose which one suits them the best. The test will then be analyzed to try and categorize the personality of a test taker and to also check for consistencies.
3. Career Hunter
For people that are looking to change careers, but do not know which direction to take, the Career Hunter test is a great place to start. This test will use six different tools and tests to help to measure your interests, abilities, and strengths. It will then be used to try and predict which types of careers you will be the most successful in. This test is easily accessible and can be taken online.
4. Sokanu Career Test
For those that have already started their career, but are thinking of taking it in another direction, the Sokanu Career Test is a great option. The Sokanu Career Test is a quick 30-minute test that will use the similar personality and aptitude tests to determine what types of jobs that you would excel at. It would then also overlay you job and educational experience to help to develop a more comprehensive career plan.
5. The SHL Occupational Personality Questionnaire

Organizations that are looking to correlate the how behaviors can influence success can use the SHL Occupational Personality Questionnaire. This is a questionnaire of 104 questions that will work to identify 32 different personality traits in individuals. It will then be used to try and find a correlation between which of these personality traits are the most predictive of whether an employee will be successful in the future.
